Peter Pan Collars
I love Peter Pan collars! I never knew what they were called until today though! The traditional colors are black and white, typically a white collar and a black shirt or dress. This style is hot off the press and you can find it almost anywhere, I've seen them in Forever21 but I'm sure stores like Target and possibly TJMaxx and Marshalls will have some too. This is a signature style piece that I could definitely seeing me wear and any other girl with a vintage heart. It is super simple and gorgeous!
P.S. I'm still looking for model volunteers!!!!!!!

Don't Over Wear Things
It's a nasty habit and we all do it! We over wear our favorite piece of clothing or wear it so much because we are running out of clean clothes/ new clothes because you have over worn your other clothes. I do the last one. Don't do this it gets boring for you and the people around you, and you don't know what they could be thinking, "Oh she wore that yesterday", "Ewww three days in a row now, he must not shower". Teens are cruel like that, so do yourself the favor and switch it up. As in one of my previous blogs "Being Versatile" http://chelsea-style.blogspot.com/2012/01/being-versatile.html it is always a handy skill. I know of a girl who wears leggings as pants everyday! She is a peculiar girl and should change it up, but sometimes she will, other times no. It is fine to re-wear pants if they aren't covered in dirt and filth because it helps out environment by lowering water use. I do this, I rotate my jeans, for example, skinny jeans Mon., other pair of skinny jeans Tues., bootcut Wed., dress or skirt Thurs. "if there is nice weather", skinny jeans from Mon. on Fri. It's as simple as that, and those pants may not get dirty within that week so, my "dirty little secret" is to wear them the next week, two tops then washing time.
Peek a Boo and See Through Sleeves
This is a growing trend, the peek a boo shoulders shirts. It seems very strange to me, but also somewhat fashionable, just make sure your bra straps don' slip down. Also partly see through shirts are in style now. I guess the need to show off skin has increased... But these styles can be sexy and elegant as said by Korea.com http://en.korea.com/?p=324919. As long as your chest and stomach are fully covered then it's perfectly fine to show off your arms and shoulders, they are actually a top 10 sexiest part on the human body!

British Style
Long live the Queen! As a Brit myself I admire the style that English teens and young adults have. I think they have such a unique style because their schools require uniforms so when they have the chance to get out and hang with friends they explode with style to express themselves through their clothing. As Americans we do this everyday so we don't completely understand. The men's style consists of polo shirts, sweater vests, high top Nike shoes, khakis, plaid shirts, V-necks, awesome hair styles, hoodies, blazers, ties, button up shirts, stripes, etc. The girl's style can range from dressy too a bit slutty. Tights, blazers, fitted skirts, oxfords, lace, and a ton of party styled clothing. The girl's style is basically everything that I like and talk about in my blogs. Since in the UK the drinking age is 18, this means parties! Their style is definitely influenced by parties, you must look like you are going to a party weather you are or not or at least they are always dressed and ready for a party! haha maybe not, but it seems like it. And just like in the movies it looks like they use their uniforms or clothes with fake school badges on them in there style. Take Alexa Chung and Adele for a reference, Emma Watson and they rest of the Harry Potter cast too, they all have really good style.
Fitted Jackets
Fitted at the waist to show off your curves. Fitted jackets are great! And when I say fitted I don't mean tight, I mean that it is pulled in at your natural waist. For guys fitted jackets are just tight because obviously guys don't have hips to make them have waists. Blazers are the best when they are fitted, it makes them look more girly and less like piece of a man's suit. When I think of a fitted jacket I think of a V-neck and a cinched waist.

Tights
I love black tights with roses or some sort of floral design on them. Don't ever get tights that are like fishnet tights, yuck, or ones that are pre-ripped. Tights are great with dresses, skirts and some times shorts. They are a life saver if you want to show some leg because it is warm outside but you are in a hurry and don't shave, slip some tights on add a cute cardigan or a blazer and your set. Tiny hearts, leaves, or flowers are some cool designs for tights. White tights are fine but black goes with almost everything. Floral tights are a bit 80's/90's but they have been remodeled so that they fight in with this decade. They can be risky to wear but they are definitely a piece of clothing that add a pop to your outfit.
P.S. A helpful tip if you have leggings, if they start to rip take some clear nail polish and cover the surrounding area to prevent a worse rip.

Lady Gaga: Meat Dress Murderer
Someone get the number for PETA right away! Lady Gaga and her meat dress, yes I know it is old news but to me Lady Gaga seems like she'd be an animal activist but I guess not! I don't see the art in wearing meat? What you wear is a piece of artwork but meat... MEAT?!?! She is definitely strange but this might have been too far. She has a strange fashion sense and believes that people shouldn't judge but to me her fashion sense is too out there, not relatable at all. I wonder how many animals she had to slaughter to get one nights worth of "fashion". I hope she smelled like meat and rotting flesh for weeks!
And people look up to a cow killer?

Sloppy Hair Styles
Don't do you hair style sloppy it just gives the wrong message. Don't do the lazy bun, it is always done by the sluttier girls who think it's cool to look like they just woke up. It looks like you had a party fail, drank too much and barfed out your soul. And I hate when it is a super high bun, like really, that doesn't look like you have a space ship hiding under there at all! But you can do a messy bun when you're in a hurry to put your hair up while washing your face or something, just not as an all day style. And oh my! The, "I don't think I can put up all of my air so I'll just leave a few carefully thought out and organized pieces of hair out and do the rest nicely" lame excuse for thinking you can make a new hair style and think you can make it look good. So ladies there is no excuse to a thought out ugly hairstyle!

What is with Guys and Purple?
I always see guys in purple, there is nothing wrong with this I am just really curious. A lot of guys wear purple and those guys usually wear it a ton!!! Maybe more than once a week... Sometimes purple is really ugly it just depends on the shirt style and pattern, and the shade of purple. African American men can really pull off purple but most other races just don't meet the standards. Ughhhh! I hate purple plaid or checkers!!! It is super gross and over worn. If you want to be fancy and have some colors in your fanciness then wear a dark cardigan or a blazer with a purple tie! SEXY! I guess purple reminds me of Justin Bieber too much.

GIGANTIC Earrings
There is a breaking point for big earrings. Hoops are the most common form of big earrings and sometimes, like the pic of Rihanna up there, they can squeak by, but when there are as huge as the girl in the last picture then obviously that isn't practical. Hahaha you know I'm only joking about the last picture, but seriously if they are bigger than the palm of your hand then you might look a bit hoochie. If the earrings are in the shape shape of something like a diamond, triangle or any other odd shape then you be the judge. As long as they aren't super outrageous and if they don't dangle past your neck then to me it seems fine.
Oxfords and Socks
There is something about me and Oxford shoes, and then there is something about socks and Oxfords. When wearing Oxfords usually women wear skits or shorts, this allows your legs to get some sunshine and for you socks to peek through with a smile! Knee-highs or ankle huggers either one will compliment your shoes. You all know how you hate to show your socks while wearing any other shoes like VANS; I don't know why but socks just look so good with Oxfords. Have your socks nice and straight or bunched and folded slightly are ways you can rock your socks!
