This cut is popular for shirts and I hate this trend, it's pretty stupid. You're just paying more money for less material, haha. Tulip cuts are a rounded cut on both ends of the back of a shirt, left there to dangle in the wind and chill your back on hot days, or just to show some extra skin where no one really cares about. Now the tulip cut on dresses is much more appealing. It is two layers or two pieces of material cut at a curve folded on top of each other at the cut.
