Last Minute New Years Outfits

This is my last post for 2012!!!! It's crazy that I've had so many ideas for each and everyday, but it's because of the fashion around me and friends who help give me ideas to write about. Someday I will write in magazines and soon I'll be able to take pics with my new pro camera!!!! 


So If you have been bugging out on what to wear for tonight, I'm here to save you! 


If you have any fancy shirts, i.e. shimmery, silky, or sheer, then you are set for one outfit idea. Pair that shirt whatever color it is, bright or dull, with some dark washed jeans or a circle skirt! Add some glimmering jewelry and a cute hair do and you're ready to party! 

  
Another idea would be anything with sequins. Try a sequins dress with plain black heels! Also a sequins blazer or a plain blazer with some nice pants and a plain shirt.

Fruit Fashion

  

While surfing the web I came across some fruity fashion! The watermelon Vans are absolutely adorable and would be perfect for summer pair with a brightly colored dress. Sadly summer is far away from now, but the fruit necklace is something that you can work in the winter. It is flashy and chunky, yet very interesting and will definitely have everyone buzzing about it. And lastly, the raspberry purse! I don't think it is really a purse, I believe it is actually made of raspberries. Just another piece of art, but it is still pretty. 

Beard Beanies

    

The giving season may be over but the sales are just beginning to start! Time to get some great steals for the man in your life. Beard beanies have a combination of warmth from the beanie and from the "beard". Although these may be slightly quirky, most have detachable beards. Some of these beard beanies have long "beard hairs" and some with shorter ones and there are tons of different color combinations. 

Bowler Hats

      

The bowler hat is much more stylish than the worn out fedora. Bowler hats looks better on women, but if worn by a man they will look like they belong with Charlie Chaplin. Demi Lovato pulled this look off very well during her beginning days of stardom, and now has progressed to short, flat top hats. Bowler hats are great for spicing up any outfit. 

Newspaper Nails

    

This is an awesome idea for nails. It is super simple too, just apply a base coat of any color you'd like, preferably something light so that the dark print will show up. Then let the base coat dry and soak nails in rubbing alcohol for a few seconds. After place newspaper over them and it will absorb the ink onto the nails. Sadly the text shows up backwards but it still looks amazing. This is just like silly putty, but for your nails! 

Purple Faux Leather

  

Purple is a fun color and fits in with winter, and leather is also fun and stylish, as long as it's faux. So purple leather is double the fun, right! You can even try an '80s look because colored leather that is fitted at the waist definitely screams the '80s. 

Feather Dresses

       

Feather dresses are something I'd typically stay away from, however some creative people have made feather dresses attractive! This style of dress has normal dressy material on the top half and a plush of feathers on the bottom. You can find this style with many layers of feathers or a small amount. Tons of celebrities have embraced this style and seem to pull it off. This is definitely a strain of the Flapper Girl style. Just try not to take the White Chicks, or Bjork route with a goose dress. 

Corduroy Jackets

     

Corduroy is a fuzzy material in lines, sort of like upholstery. It can be in any color but traditional colors are natural, earth tones. Made famous by the children's book Corduroy about a little teddy bear with corduroy overalls. Corduroy can be stylish in jackets and blazers. I'd stay away from corduroy pants. Try finding a cropped blazer or jacket in corduroy, one with big buttons and side pockets. 

Half Bleached Shirts

    

Bleached denim or bleached button ups were the trend of the summer but that doesn't mean that this style has to be out just yet. This style is usually done on denim-like shirts and on the bottom of the shirt. Find a shirt with studded collars or do this yourself with an old denim shirt or tank or pick on up at a thrift store! 

Weekly Review of Forever21 Apparel: Peplum Bow Top

 

I know it's been a very long time since I've done a Forever21 review but here is a new one. I went to Forever21 today to get myself something nice for Christmas and found this shirt in the plus size section. It is a perfect fit, super slimming and absolutely adorable! It is a peplum and of course those are in right now! It was $22.80, not cheap but not that bad compared to other items there. I love it already and can't wear it when I get back to school! 

Locket Rings

         

Locket rings are magical and mystical. You can hide tiny trinkets in them, small notes, or even poison! These were used back in the day to poison people very sneakily. Now locket and poison rings are just cool to have.

Necklace & Pocket Watches

   

Pocket watches aren't used much anymore but they are super stylish and vintage. If you don't want to have a watch in your pocket then wear it as a necklace! This is awesome accessory and will definitely get your friends talking.
