Sand dollars are a unique find on beaches and are rarely found whole because they are fragile and break in rough waters. It is uncommon to find clothing and accessories decorated with sand dollar pieces but they are great for summer apparel. Silver is the best color for sand dollar accessories but white is good as well. A twist based off of the flower or star shape in the middle of a sand dollar has been made to fit well on modern women's clothing. The pattern can be simple flower shapes on regular material or on lace.
