Fun Easy Nails #2

These nails are super easy to do! Get a light blue, or any color you desire, and do a base coat. Then on one side of your nail at an angle, diagonally brush a slightly darker blue and drag it with a toothpick to create spikes. Finally when that is all dried add in the same diagonal area as the darker blue add some colorful, confetti, sparkle polish!

Sheer Pants

I saw a pair of these sheer pants on a friend of mine today and they were perfect for today's warm weather. There are skinny, straight, boot cut-like, and harem styled sheer pants and all are adorable. They are see through so you HAVE to wear tights or spandex underneath them!!! These pants are great because you can wear them when it's hot to feel cool and you don't have to get a sun burn on your legs.

Calgon Hawaiian Ginger Body Mist

I love this scent by Calgon, relatively cheap body care company. You can find their items at any drugstore or Target and Walmart like stores. This particular scent is Hawaiian Ginger and smells refreshing and sweet, almost like scented rain. I am almost out of it and will have to get some more soon, but I recommend it to you all. Calgon has tons of other delightful scents so try a "value pack" that has multiple scents and find your favorite.

Quick Tip #6

I plan on going to the thrift store to find a crocheted tablecloth to make a boho inspired skirt! I would need a slip under the crochet skirt because it has tons of holes on it and I was thinking of how I would sew one. Well obviously I'd get some material that would be neutral yet complimenting to the crochet cloth to go under it. If I sewed some undies that have an elastic band on them to the slip onto the crocheted cloth it would be secured to my body and I wouldn't need to sew a separate elastic band on that may not be measured correctly. I could also use some bicycle shorts or spandex to sew on as well.

If you are planning to make a skirt anytime soon think of this quick tip that may come in hand when sewing your final product together. It could turn out even more stylish and less complicated than you expect.

I hope this will help!

Spring Time Coral Lip Shades

It's almost, officially spring and that means warmer weather and lighter tones. Coral is a great lip shade for almost any skin color and color taste. If you have light skin this color will go well with you but darker skin it stands out more. If that is your goal then go ahead and try out a coral shade of lipstick, tint or gloss. Also try darker and lighter shades of coral in order to match your skin tone.

Refreshing My Style: Bohemian Style

I have always loved the boho style and lately I've been wanting to fill my closet with new bohemian items! I saw a do it yourself tutorial of making crochet table cloths into boho-like skirts and how to make boho boots with scrap fabric and belts. The bohemian style is all about thrift store treasures so it's always a great idea to go to a local thrift store and search for some old clothes that have character. This style allows you to mix and match tons of fabrics, textures, colors, and patterns. Maxi skirts and dresses fit perfectly in this style as well as denim, leather, and native patterns. Head bands, large floppy hats, and boater hats are suggested accessories also side bags and satchels. Try waves and braids for a boho hairstyle. Give me any suggestions for what I should get or where I should go for a one stop bohemian look!

Manly Post #2: Polka Dot Oxford Shirts

Small polka dots on oxford shirts can be manly and stylish at the same time. Roll the sleeves up for a more "guyish" look or add a blazer and some fancy shoes for a Fancy Friday outfit! Polka Dots smaller than a dime are great for guys anything bigger may resemble a female shirt. Time to refresh your wardrobe guys so go take your most stylish friends for advice and hit the stores!

Crochet Cardigans

Crochet cardigans are perfect for spring because you can wear them without all that extra heat. Many are paired well with long skirts and tank tops that give you a boho, hippie look. These cardigans come in all colors and tons of crochet designs. They also come in different sleeve and body length so pick one that you'll love. Earth tones are great for these cardigans so think brown, tan, cream, white, gray, and army green!

Heart Shaped Sunglasses

I've been wanting a pair of red heart shaped sunglasses for a while now just because they are cute and in style right now. I've only seen one or two pairs in stores though. They are very popular within the music community and have been featured in music videos and song names and artist pictures like Neon Trees and Lana Del Rey, also it is the main book cover of Lolita. I'd definitely suggest getting a pair for spring!

Manly Post #1: V-neck Layers

When guys use layers within their outfits it shows that they are taking time to get dress and care about their appearance. They are't just wearing an old t-shirt. Layers as in formal, non-sloppy, respectable layers. Crew neck t-shirts under v-neck sweaters is very stylish, yet preppy as well, but stylish. This idea is great to the chilly days that are still ahead and you can pair it with a great pea coat! You can also try adding a tie under the sweater also, or maybe instead of a tee use a button up, or just wear the v-neck sweater.

Lobster Pants

These pants are somewhat preppy and "rich kid" like but while at my summer job I saw a customer, a rich old man, with lobster pants similar to the pictures. Now I doubt many guys would be into wearing these but they are interesting and are definitely a talking piece of clothing. When I say talking I mean that many people will have things to say about them, they are a conversation piece! These pants are made for men but there are pajama pants with lobsters if any woman like this idea. If you are not into this exact style or you can't find something similar to these pants try a pink or red pair of pants to resemble a lobster's colors.

Felt Boater Hats

Felt boater hats are a great accessory that can go with almost anything. They are an indie accessory and have been featured on Demi Lovato. I prefer the felt ones compared to the star versions which typically have a ribbon around the top. Felt boater hats are so simple but dress up an outfit very well. These hats are perfect for all year round but also great for spring because they are pair well with tank tops and shorts.
