Black trim is super in!!! It is simple and makes any shirt get a little pop of fabulous! Material shorts are also another great contestant for black trim. Usually on shirts the trim is down the middle of the shirt where the buttons align and on the collar and cuffs. White trim on darker shades of material are also great.
I suggest trying on a pair of shorts, a dress, or a cut top with a black trim on them and see how you feel!
