Drop Waist Dresses

         

Drop waist dresses are most common in the "flapper girl" dress style. They go well with tights and sometimes boots and heels. The flapper girl style was around the '20s and Bonnie, wore them with her partner Clyde. Drop waist dresses make you look more slender and flat chested, so I wouldn't suggest them to already slender girls unless you like the style, but they resemble a potato sack too much so the cinched drop waist or draw string is great. This style definitely adds length to your torso and makes you look taller because the "waist line" is around your hips. 

WOMEN ONLY POST! (Pads vs. Tampons)

Ha ha ha, okay sort of an awkward post and it isn't really style at all, but it is good education. 


Heavy flow days are great for tampons, and at night pads don't do the job well. You've seen the commercials for the "preppy" stuff, but you need something practical, right? Because we all know how it can be.

Houndstooth Pattern

     

Traditionally in black and white, this pattern is common on pea coats, and shown in English sleuth movies. There are now different variations of the pattern and in all sorts of color combinations. It can be tacky but if the pattern is is on the right type of clothing then it'll fit well. 

Owls Accessories

     

Owls are the new fad in accessories and clothing! They are very indie and all tend to look the same, I mean come on they are owls, how much different can they look? Big eyes, feathers, cartoon like, jewels, metal, vintage like, etc. Earrings, rings, hair clips, watches, necklaces, key chains, and more!!! Too many to decide to choose from. Some are solid, flat, round, hollow, see through, or connected and move like a fish. 


This style will stay for a while longer, so hurry and join the crowd or forget about it! 

Punk Pin Up

   

Just like the normal pin up style, the punk pin up style is edgier and sexier. Tattoos and pale skin, black hair and red lipstick are all included. The women who dress like punk pin up girls wear the same type of clothing as regular pin ups would. Vintage inspired dresses, shirts, skirts, pants, and accessories. Although the style may be the same, the patterns and colors aren't. The colors consist of blacks and red, mainly, and the patterns can range from cherries, traditional polka dots, skulls, hearts, etc. 

Long Hair on Men

      

Every guy goes through a long hair stage at some point in their life. Around the teen age stage. Like the boys in Harry Potter in the 4th movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Long hair is sometimes attractive but most of the time it's a turn off. Keep it short dudes, it's easier to manage and then the ladies won't run away or envy you for your straight and shiny hair! 

Mini Tiaras

   

Mini hair clip tiaras are a great accessory for prom, homecoming or any other formal dance. For everyday hair do they're a bit too formal. They are cute for little girls too, but remind me too much of Toddlers & Tiaras.

This Youtuber explained this topic very well. Don't show off too much to guys, it makes people look at you sideways and talk bad about you, sometime... 


If you want to stand out for a certain someone, like in the video, play up your best assets; lips, legs, whatever. Don't get trashy; short shorts, super low cut shirts, or tight clothes. 

Biore Pore Strips

    

Biore's Deep Cleansing Pore Sprips, are always a necessity in anyone's bathroom cabinet. Guys and girls get clogged pores from time to time and just scrubbing and washing your face doesn't always help. To get rid of black heads and, or just clogged pores you should purchase these pore strips. You just wash your face, wet your nose and apply the strip, wait a while until it drys and then YANK that strip off and see what nasty stuff is in your pores! 


Tips

• Before applying the strip to your nose steam your face over a hot pot of water to open pores or place a warm, damp towel over your nose. 
• Make sure that the strip, while drying on your nose, is secure and stays down because you don't want it to dry sticking up. Otherwise you wouldn't unclog your pores! 
• When you are done using the strips, wash your nose off, scrub and use pore reducer or cold, cold water to close up your pores after.

Lady Gaga and her many, many styles of heels!!! She has curved ones that remind me of doll shoes; she also has some heels that look like a patio chair, the ones that have a flat bottom and curve up towards your legs and then flatten out again as the seat. Lady Gaga is actually kinda short, about 5'4", so it's no surprise that she has created her own style of heels for her heel OCD to make her look taller and stylish. Although Lady G can pull off these extreme heels to match her abnormal personality I wouldn't recommend girls to start purchasing crazy heels.

Collar Necklaces

       


Some are on chains, some tie with ribbons, and then there are some collar necklaces that are bent into a shape to rest on your shoulders like a real collar. 


Collar necklaces are becoming more and more popular and they are a great, BIG, accessory. Collar necklaces are also considered the necklaces with multiple layers connected together that lay flat on your chest. 


Some collar necklaces even look like they are a part of the shirt or dress you are wearing! 

Patchwork "Quilt Style"

 

I was just about to write a blog about "quilt style" and low an behold I see a post from Breast Cancer Awareness' Facebook. This style is shabby chic and trendy. It is a fun look for summer and reminds me of nature friendly people. This style is common in maxi dresses and skirts but is also seen in plaid shorts for men and little girl's clothing. 


This is also great if you are crafty and good with a sewing machine because you can take old clothing, or clothing with a special memory to them and cut them up and stitch them all together to make something new!
