Broken Nails

One trick that I've acquired when I break or chip a nail is to not cut it to the stub of your finger. I thought that if I did that I would have cut off the broken nail part. Wrong. You just spread the chipped or broken nail further up your nail, the best thing to do is to let it grow out as long as possible and then cut above the chip. Do not "rip" the broken nail off because it will spread and it might hurt. 

Anti Fur

Kim Kardashian is a big fur perpetrator and has recently been "put in her place" by an activist with a bag of flour. Tons of celebrities have posed in pictures for Peta's campaign and awareness against the fur trade and animal abuse, etc. The ironic thing about Kim K. and Peta is that Khloe Kardashian posed in a picture for Peta while her sister LOVES fur! Crazy!? Fur is beautiful! On living animals when it is warm and soft naturally and provides help to animals. When I come across a fur bag at TJmaxx  or any other place and touch it, I feel yucky because it did serve a purpose to a living animal and I wonder how that animal was treated. 


A strong word of advice is to forget fur, let it be, and stand against the fur trade. 

Striaght Bangs

           

Straight bangs have come back in style from it's prime around the '90s. Straight bangs are ever popular with long hair. All the hottest stars are changing it up with straight bangs because they know that side bangs are on their way out! This is a daring hairstyle and is great for the summer of 2012, so if you want something fresh and stylin' chop it off and get straight bangs. 

Thick and Clumpy Mascara

   

Thick and clumpy mascara is very unattractive. Make sure you have an evenly coated brush, try and wipe off the extra mascara. You can brush your lashes one by one with the tip of the brush too. What I do to even out my lashes and get rid of clumps is I take an old brush that I've washed off completely and go through the freshly coasted lashes and loosen them up. And for those flakes of mascara wipe them away with a Q-tip from the bottom and top of your eyes. 


P.S. If you have really light colored lashes go purchase a brown mascara and be sure to coat the top and bottom lashes with the mascara to make your bottom ones match your top color.

Side High Low

  

A normal high low skirt or dress has a longer back end and a shorter front side, hence the name "High Low". Some dresses and skirts have slits up the thighs, but if you take your high low skirt and twist it to the side you have now created a new style! Too bad you can't do it to dresses. 


To get a better thought of what I'm trying to explain look at this picture of a high low skirt at a side angle but picture it in the front of your body. 

Long Face, Short Face

  

It's very rare when I don't see Kylie Jenner, from E!'s Keeping Up with the Kardashians, without her hair stuck to her face. She already has a short and round face and by constantly having her hair covering her ears and cheeks she makes her face look even more squashed looking.

Keep your hair up in a pony tail or bun, or clipped back to make your face look longer and slimmer. 

To make your long face look shorter have your hair tucked behind ears or flipped to the side, also try keeping in like Kylie's up there.

Gages

      

Gages have many designs, colors, and sizes. Gages can be solid, have a hole in the center, pointed at the end, spiral shaped, hooked, tube shaped, etc. I wouldn't suggest gages for the average teen, but if you are a punk rocker, stoner, in a band, or you just like them, get some. Start out small and increase the gage size to avoid swollen ears. Get creative with the colors and designs!
