Slip Dresses

      

Slip dresses have a wide variety of colors and design patterns. Slip dresses are made to resemble a silky night gown or any other under garment. They are usually smooth material dresses with a lace trim and they hug the body. These dresses can be mistaken as pajamas so make sure if you get one, get a one that is obviously a real dress and accessorize it well to distract from the jammie look. Don't over accessorize because these dresses tend to be fancy as is. 

Pop a Collar!

 

There are many different styles of collars, lace, peter pan, sailor, bow, etc. Forever21 even has clip on collars, I've seen a peter pan blue sequins one there. 

Lace - Typically white or cream colored, any lace pattern, can be tied on to neck, some shirts have lace collars built in, but you can get a loose one to add to any shirt. 

 

Peter Pan - A rounded edge, any color (traditionally; white), close to neck. It is elegant and cute! 

 

Sailor - Tied in the front with a square shaped piece of material on the back. Can be added to any shirt or bought already on the shirt. 

 

Bow - A floppy bow collar that lays gently on the chest, perfect for a dressy night out and also a casual day. 

 

Jabot - Multiple layers of fabric or lace slighty scrunched, long or short. This was traditionally on male clothing in the "old days" on sailors, you can see on Pirates of the Caribbean. Now favored in women's fashion, and modern versions may vary. 

 

Shawl - Seen most on tunics and warm jackets and sometimes on blazers and cardigans. A relaxed and simple collar that is elongated with rounded edges, like a stretched out peter pan collar, but it can be smaller and shorter. 

 

Flowy Shorts

   


Nice and breathable for the warm weather, flowy and loose shorts are excellent for the summer. Flowy shorts are fun and flirty and put a bounce in your step. Go get a pair!!! 

Palm Tree Pattern

   

It's the summer time and palm trees are a great summer icon. Where ever you live you can look at a palm tree and summer is one of the first things you may think of. So there is no better way to express this but through clothing of course! 


Palm trees on a dress, awesome! Palm trees on silky pants is a bit risky. H & M has a pair of "silk" palm tree pants, they are super fun looking but you'd have to have the right style and confidence to wear these. 


Now besides the traditional colors of a tropical scene portrayed on clothing; green and blue, shake it up! EWWW Rat Tails!!!

   

Ewww Ewww Ewwwwwwwww!!! So gross, never suggested EVER!!! No matter how hot you are you can never pull this off. This is so nasty and hickish. I don't want to offend anyone but please if you have one, shave it off. Okay so bottom line, rat tails are just repulsive and no one should get this hair style. Long or short, braided or loose, just never get one guys.

Oh YES Forever21! Sexy, sexy, you've out done yourself again with your models! Okay so this super hot new tank is available at Forever21 in the men's section. I love it, great color and patterns, but it is just like any other tank top, only who wears it makes it better. A pair or destroyed jeans and some suns and your man is set for summer.

This stylin' summer dress is super pretty and will definitely keep you cool in the hot weather! I love the cut designs it adds more character to this simple dress. Wear this over a cute swimsuit when you go to the beach, it is great for a day full of swimming. Be careful with tube top anything if you have a bit of back fat or that annoying arm/boob fat that hangs over your bra. Tub top dresses and shirts can make a bigger girl look wider and it can be very unflattering so watch out!
