I'VE GOT THE...

I love it when people come to me for fashion advice, compliment me on my style or my helpfulness with style. I appreciate it so feel free to come up to me with a question. I may not be able to wear all the stuff that I talk about in my blogs but I definitely know what's happening in the style world. Come to me for advice anytime, and any question is fine. Remember that I know how to dress and that I can guide you in the right direction, I even know what is good looking on guys. Spread the word!

Daisy Patterns

     

White daisies with a yellow center on a blue background are super pretty! The blue just makes them POP right out of the dress, shirt, scarf or skirt. A navy blue looks best but anything blue or dark like black or gray. Daisies or sunflowers it doesn't matter, just the yellow center of the white flower is my preferred look. This pattern is perfect for summer! 

Minty Fresh for Summer

     

Mint, paler than green, with a blueish tint. Not at all the color of a mint leaf. It is kinda like a pistachio ice cream color!
. This color is perfect for the summer months ahead! It is good on almost any skin tone, works well with light hair, but is better with darker hair, and you can wear blue jeans, black jeans, white jeans, etc. just not unnatural colors. I need to get something minty colored and fast before all the good stuff is sold! Go check out Forever21, I know for sure they have some minty colors, Target, TJMaxx and Marshalls should have some too if you look hard enough.

Strapless Bikini Tops

                                                                      

Strapless bikini tops are cute, but most of the time they will make a girls breasts look smaller. The new style of bikini top where it is twisted in the middle or other variations. In fact the name of the bikini with the twist is  Strapless Twist Bikini... wow. It's not because of the no straps that make breasts look smaller, I think it is because the shape and look of the top. They just look like they squeeze and flatten your chest. I suggest not getting this style of bikini top.

Peplum Dresses and Skirts

         

 

The three main lengths, but there are short and longer lengths
of Peplum dresses and skirts. 

This style is something that Lady Ga Ga would wear, it is futuristic and strange, also Rihanna and Katy Perry seem like candidates for this style. There are different lengths of a Peplum skirt or dress, they can be a very short ruffle at the hips or a longer, layered like ruffle. Floral and shape patterns look great on this style, but plain solid colors are also an eye attraction. There are versions of this style where the ruffles are only on the hip sides and a version where the ruffles are longer on the sides than on the front and back. Just to give you all a good understanding of this new trend that has an 80's vibe I posted a ton of pictures with this blog to get you familiar with the style. Forever21 has some Peplum skirts, I don't know about dresses but just check online where they are sold if you are interested.

Red

      

Red clothing is one of the few things that attracts guys that is easy to do. That and cinnamon flavored gum! Well red is a sexy color so it is easy to understand guys attraction towards it. Unfortunately red is also a gang color. Limit the amount of read shirts you own or wear. Red lace is super sexy also red ruffles! Get a red dress, also have a LBD (little black dress) on hand, and get a thick red belt and add it to the LBD. Don't wear red with any shade of green, it screams Christmas! If your man decides to take you dancing, anything Hispanic, wear a red flowing dress. And just to make things spicy, get a red bra. Also get yourself a pair of red heels or shoes.

Weekly Review of Forever21 Apparel: Cutout Swing Dress

  

Every girl should have a swing styled dress. Who knows when you might want to go out swing dancing! Or get a dress that is inspired by the good ol' swing days. Swing styled dresses don't have to be a cutout like this one but the big buttons on the back are super cute and add to the simple dress. Get yourself some ruffly socks and oxford shoes and you are set for a night out with friends and a swing dance club! So take a trip back in time, a trip to Forever21 first will help and get this dress!

Weather Compliments

Have the weather help to compliment your outfit! When it's fall wear reds, oranges, yellows and browns. When it's winter wear blues and whites. When it's spring weather pastels, greens, blues and other natural plant colors. When it's summer wear greens also, but this is the best season to wear almost whatever color you want! Now my advice isn't always true, you could wear a warm yellow coat in winter, so what as long as it is practical and stylish!

Loafers

      

The commonly known shoes for old people, I partly agree, my Grandma wears these. Loafers are almost the same as boat shoes, there are versions that are a mesh of both styles. But loafers have the flap or tongue of the shoe hanging over the toe of the shoe. Then there are the loafers without a folded tongue or laces. There are so many variations of the loafer; the TOM shoes look alike, some Oxfords, boat shoes and more. Traditional loafers have the tasseled flap or tassel laces. 

Tassels on Clothing

    

Tassels on scarves, tassels on bags, tassels on shoes, and tassels on shirts! Leather, pleather or material tassels! Tassels can give a piece of clothing a Flapper Girl or Western/ Native American look. Tassels look rugged like an indie rocker. They can also give something a cute perk with the dangling strips of material that flow and bounce when you walk.

Sequins

 
 

There are good and bad sides of sequins, it just depends of the color and amount of it. Sequins is great on dresses, such as a party dress layered with it, that's fine, the more the merrier! But if it is a shirt, be careful! You should definitely get a sequins covered dress for New Years or a fabulous party! If your sequins is in the shape of an animal, insect or plant... dump it! Total 80's barf. If there are tiny flowers here and there that's fine. Don't get a striped sequins dress or shirt. And be wary of rainbow sequins and anything that would make you look like a fish. And there is a difference between sequins, glitter and jewels.

This is a No-No!

Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk

Get yourself a bottle, you're hair will love you! You can purchase it at your local Target. Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk hair serum. Any type of hair serum is great for your hair, it smells good and it'll protect it from heat tools and weather damage. I love it because my hair is very frizzy naturally but I like to style and straighten it a lot. Remember not to use a ton of it because a little goes a long way. Also remember that it is oily so keep it of your ends and fragile sections of your hair. Check out some of their other products too!
