Hippie Headbands: What and What Not to Do

     

This hair accessory isn't the prettiest and only few can pull it off. First of all don't wear it right across your forehead it just looks stupid on most people. If you are going to wear it straight across your forehead you should have bangs because it looks much, much better when there is hair underneath the band. Curly hair is best for this hair piece and it doesn't look as good as it does on curly hair with straight hair. With golden curls Taylor Swift is very capable of pulling this off. It seems to fit her vintage style. She is definitely a flower child-like girl. Avoid headbands with tassels and feathers because then that is pushing the style, it looks like you will be really trying to make you look like a 60's girl. But don't worry about dressing up to mix the headband into your outfit just don't over do it.
