My Nails: Pink Party

 

 

So in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month I decided to paint my nails pink. I actually stole the multiple design idea from my friend! However I do believe I did a very fine paint job. On all finger nails I have Sally Hansen: Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color # 160 "Mauve It". On my index finger I have a top coat of Pure ICE "Lilac Mist" #826. On my middle finger I have ORLY Nail Lacquer "Luxe" aka gold that is frenched tipped on the nail. On my ring finger I have an off brand jane nail color "Voltage" # 23 aka silver glitter flakes. My pinky is just the Sally Hansen pink base coat, and my thumb nail is the base coat with N.Y.C. Long-Wearing Nail Enamel, #134A, "French White Tip", that is polka dotted on my nail. I hope this inspires you!

DIY: Halloween Costumes

Here are some creative ideas for costumes this Halloween that you can make yourself. I hope these ideas will inspire you! 

  Sushi, get some pillows, spray paint them, wrap some green sashes around your waist and the pillow, and wear with a white dress. Wasabi headbands, and ginger earrings are optional. 

 Jack, pretty simple. Styrofoam for the head nose and hat, the rest is up to a paint brush and paint. 

 This is quirky yet easy. A box that is spray painted any color you like, and some solo cups glued on with "Lego" written on the bottoms.

 Time to break a black umbrella, cut it in half and sew or glue it onto a black jacket, make some ears out of cardboard or paper and stick them onto the hood. 

 I'm sure that this will get loads of respect for your hard work, get a dress, for girls, or a pair of sweats and a hooded jacket, for guys, and layer on some cut tissue or construction paper. For the nose and ears use cups and party hats also layered with the paper. Just watch out for hungry, baseball bat wielding children!

The 3/4 sleeves allow you some extra warmth in the winter, add some knitted tights and boots or flats and you'll have a perfectly cute fall outfit. This would be definitely worn on a night outing with friends, a party, school days, or a party! Fall and winter unlock a very unique style code and you can go wild with it. Save this dress for spring and summertime because it is super versatile!  

Crocs

These shoes are commonly seen on toddlers, dorky parents, and nurses. They are supposed to be comfy but I've worn a pair and they create blisters and those holes on them made to let air in and sweat out... don't work. The material just makes your feet more sweaty. I don't find these shoes practical for most people and they are far from stylish. If you're a gardener then they are fine for you I guess. 

Breast Cancer Pink!

Every Wednesday my school's students and staff dress up in pink to support breast cancer research and our loved ones. This might be going on at your school or work also. Pink is easy to find, and every girl probably has something pink. Go all out in pink!!! Even guys can do this, a pink tie to work, or a light pink button up to school, whatever it is help support. So for October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month please wear pink. 

Bagelheads...

  

This recent trend in photography is pretty graphic. Japanese hipsters are all over this new trend in cosmetic "injections". The "model" is injected with saline, some sort of botox liquid that is absorbed by the skin after a while. This is done in the forehead and after it is finished one ma press their thumb in the center of the dome to make a bagel shape. Nasty right!? Yeah, no thanks...  

Big Cat Trend

             

Just a while ago the big animal trend was elephants and zebras, now it is big cats! Mainly this style is on shirts but I have seen a few necklaces and rings with big cats on them. If you like what you see join in with the trend!
