Lace Glasses

    

Science goggles and black lace, I would have never thought of combining the two. Some crazy trend setter did! White lace and black lace are both eligible contenders as well as bug eyed shaped glasses. This is a great DIY project. Take an old pair of glasses or goggles, tinted or not, cut some lace to fit over the entire pair or just the glass area, glue it down with clear drying glue, or crafting paste. This is a style designed for Lady GaGa and Rihanna's unique rocker chic personalities. But! You can begin this style for yourself. Kick out those Kanye West glasses and bring in the lace! 

     

Help Me Decide: Homecoming Dresses

 

It's never too early to start looking for homecoming dresses, the earlier the better so all the good ones in the store and online are still up for grabs. I bought my last homecoming dress online at uniquevintage.com and this year I'm thinking of another red dress but from modcloth.com. This one is $49.99, so it's an okay price. I really like the slight sweetheart neckline but wish it was more prominent, and I also love the halter straps. I really wanted a yellow dress, but I'm still looking, if I don't find another dress I like I think I'll settle for this one. What do you guys think? 

Scene Print Dresses

        

Is that a place on your dress? Haha! The new print of dresses are scenes. Pictures or paintings of fields of flowers, city sky scrapers, beaches, forests, towns, etc. Instead of a small flower print you have a whole painting on your dress. This makes your dress stand out and eyes are attracted to it to see what is hidden in it. These pictures are common of body-con & vintage flared dresses.

For Longer Looking Legs 
Bootcut jeans are a great way to elongate your legs. I don't know why but they seem to do this. Especially dark washed ones. 

For Slender Looking Legs
Yet again dark washed bootcut jeans tend to slenderize your legs because they make them look longer. Also anything dark like black T's make you look slimmer so dark jeans will do the same. You can try a black jean but a very dark blue will do just as fine. 

Dresses and Army Boots

       

Army boots, army boot heels, oxford boots, and boot-like heels are all in and are being mashed together with dresses and skirts. This is such a great combination because it adds some definite edgy and toughness to any dress and skirt. Olive green, brown, and black are great colors of boots and a complimenting jacket are an awesome start to this style. It is a boho, edgy, and vintage style mix up. Try this out for fall with some knitted stockings and an over sized knitted cardigan! 

Half Buns

     

There are tons of ways to dress up the half bun hairstyle. You can braid the sides that gather in the bun or curl the bottom half of your hair. They are great for homecoming and prom hairstyles because the way you "dress them up" may make them even more elegant. Half buns suit girls with bangs and without bangs. They are also great for hairstyles on the go or lazy hair do's.

Watercolor Print

         

The watercolor print is in style. It is on flowing shirts, prom dresses, summer dresses, button up shirts, and more. Watercolors can be in bright or dark colors in random blotches or in the shape of flowers. Although you may think of spring when you see watercolors the darker mixtures can be great for fall.
